The Scriptures

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Scriptures. We accept the Old and New Testaments fully as the very Word of God, without error as originally given of God, and as the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of people, sufficient as the only authoritative rule of faith and practice. [2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pt. 1:20-21]

The Godhead

We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is one, infinitely perfect, existing eternally, revealed as three distinct persons without divisions of essence, nature, or being. [Deut. 6:4; Matt. 5:48; 28:19]

The Person and Work of Christ

We believe in the Deity, Virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. He came to earth, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born as a man, was tempted as we are, yet is without sin. He gave Himself for the sins of the world on the cross. He arose in a glorified body and ascended to heaven as our Great High Priest. We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ and that He will one day establish His glorious and literal kingdom of righteousness and peace. [Matt. 26:64; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Tit. 2:13-14; Rom. 5:9; Phil. 2:6-11; Heb. 4:14]

The Total Depravity of Man

We believe all people by inheritance, nature, and choices are sinful and lost. Though created in God's likeness we, by willful disobedience, became sinful, totally depraved, incurring both physical and spiritual death, without any possible means of salvation. People can be saved through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. [Gen. 1:27; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:23; Gal. 3:11]

The Salvation of Man

We believe salvation is by grace through faith. It is the free gift of God, neither merited nor secured in part or in whole by any of a person's virtues or religious works. [Eph. 2:8-9; Tit. 3:4-7]

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Trinity is a divine person equal with God the Father and God the Son, and of the same nature. He convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is sent to guide, comfort, and empower. As the believer surrenders to the Lordship of Christ, the Holy Spirit continues to bring them into conformity to God's will. We are admonished about areas of sin that hinder the working of the Holy Spirit of the living God. [Matt. 28:19; Jn. 16:7-14; Rom. 16:14; Gal. 5:16-26; 1 Thess. 5:23]

The Church

We believe in the Church of Jesus Christ, both universal and local. It consists of all who believe and are redeemed through His blood. Christ is the Head, and the Church is His body. The local church consists of believers in any specific area joined together for worship, edification, fellowship, and proclaiming the Gospel. [Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-47; Eph. 1:22-23]

Eternal Security and Assurance of Believers

We believe in a future life, bodily resurrection, and eternal judgment. Souls saved will be in God's presence, with their works brought before the judgment seat of Christ. Unsaved are kept under punishment until the day of the Great White Throne, at which everlasting punishment will be meted out. [Jn. 5:28-29; 1 Cor. 3:11-15; 15:20-23; 2 Cor. 5:8-10; Rev. 20:11-15]
